Father’s Day 2024 is on Sunday, June 16th. And if you’re looking for a simple Father’s Day Craft for kids to give to their dad, grandpa, or uncle, these cards are perfect! These free printable Father’s Day cards can be done as is, you can paste them to some construction paper, add stickers or any other decorations of your choosing!
The dad in your life will love these simple cards from kids, because they came from his loved ones. Honestly, I think there is so much pressure to do things extra big and fancy these days, that we’ve lost the beauty in the simple things. Looking back, we won’t remember all the crafts we’ve done, but rather the time we spent together doing them.
Father’s Day Craft for Kids: My Honest Thoughts
Here’s the truth. Sometimes upon scrolling the internet for cute Father’s Day craft ideas, I see some really adorable ideas. I save them for later with good intentions, and then I either forget or just never get around to doing them. If you’re in the same boat as I am with that, you’re going to love these colorable cards.
You can print the cards, have the kids color them and present them to dad just like that. Or if you want to get really creative, add them to something else! As a matter of fact, they are simple and easy to really make them your own.
Celebrating Dad
Dad’s play such an important role in children’s lives. I understand that Father’s Day for everyone is different. For some it is a happy day to celebrate the fathers and father figures in your life. For other’s Father’s Day can be a tough day.
I have been blessed with an incredible dad. There were definitely times when I was a kid that I wasn’t always thrilled with my dad. However, the older I get, the more I understand and appreciate him. I am so very thankful to have grown up with the dad that I have. I can’t pretend to understand what it may be like if you didn’t or don’t have a great relationship with your father. But I do hope you can find a way to enjoy the day, and maybe celebrate those in your life you filled in the gaps.
Make Father’s Day Special
I feel like sometimes social media really puts dads down. But as I have said before, Dads are so important, and their role may look different than moms. That balance is honestly what makes things great!
Dad’s deserve to be celebrated and told how much they are appreciated. However, you choose to do that, he will appreciate it! Father’s day doesn’t have to be extravagant, a simple card and his favorite meal is just as special as a fancy gift or outing. Just let him know what a great dad he is and that you love him! That is what really matters.
Super Simple Father’s Day Craft
If you remember, I also made colorable Mother’s Day cards this year. And funny story, my husband actually had my kids each pick one and they colored me one. I loved it! They were so cute, and I love that they took the time to make them for me. I also love how heavily supportive my husband is of this blog. (Hey handsome! I love you!)
I loved it so much that I decided to make some again for Father’s Day. Once again, I intentionally made the simple so that kids of all ages could enjoy coloring. I find that the overly detailed coloring pages overwhelm younger kids. Whereas if they are simpler, the younger kids can enjoy and the other kids have freedom to be as creative as they want to be!
