Hey There! My name is Jane.
I am a northern born and raised, pnw/southern/midwestern implant. My husband’s military service has moved me to parts of the country I never thought I would live. Being a military spouse puts me in a unique situation, that forces me to be ultra flexible and independent.
I met my husband while volunteering while I was in college. He wrote his phone number on a cup of hot chocolate and gave it to me. I was a naive, not quite 20 year old, who didn’t realize he was interested. And after much convincing from some friends and roommates (even my mother was invested!), I sent this complete stranger a text message thanking him for the hot chocolate.
2 years later, we were married! And 4 years after that we welcomed our first little one to the world. This year, we have been married 10 years, lived in 5 different homes, have 3 children, and a dog (plus a fish named Carl).
The last 10 years have challenged and stretched me in way I never imagined. When I imagined being a mother, I never thought I would be doing so much of it alone. And as a result, I am always looking for ways to simplify things (even just a smidge!) while I do my best to raise them under unique circumstances.
Motherhood is joyful and fun, but it’s also hard work! I want to focus on the things that are important and enjoy every moment of it. I hope I can help you do the same by finding small ways to simplify, and improve those day to day tasks that feel oh so mundane.
Thanks for visiting my little corner of the internet!
